Those old reviews are history!! The new owners are terrific, friendly people that have worked hard to make this place fantastic! Sites are gravel and level, the park is peaceful, quiet and the stars at night are endless. The place is clean, updated, our neighbors were friendly and informative. They gave us ideas on places to visit/eat/experiene including phone numbers and directions. We visited Chiricahua &Texas Canyon, Chochise Stronghold.
Not only is this close to Cochise Stronghold and Chiricahua National Monument but the park itself has absolutely gorgeous views. The owner's are awesome wished we could have stayed longer. The sites are large and have full hookups. Highly recommend this park.
Goldminers RV is a treasure of a place to stay as you enjoy the southeast corner of Arizona. It is strategically located between the Dragoon and Chiricahua mountains with many areas for adventures in a jeep and easy access to the historical sites such as Cochise Stronghold, Ft. Bowie, Tombstone, Bisbee, to name a few. The campground is neat and clean and the staff are very friendly, informative and know their valley very well. We would recommend this home away from home and look forward to staying there again!
Stayed here in December 2023. Great park and location. New owners have made great improvements and super nice hosts! New laundry, reasonably priced propane and all new gravel throughout. Will definitely be back!
One of the best RV parks we've stayed at. So much to do and see within easy driving distance. The new owners have invested a lot of time and money into fixing this place up right. Wide driveways make backing in or pulling through a snap. Incredible, high speed wifi with Starlink and range extenders at every pad. The views are amazing all the way around, and the town nearby is charming. The camp hosts and owners were incredible. They were able to loan us a 50A to 30A adapter, installed a gasket in our water filter, and helped us get hooked up to the sewer drain. Each pad has one. They have big plans to continue upgrading this place this year. Easiest five stars I've ever given on an RV park.
This is really a wonderful little RV park!!
The grounds are immaculate with spacious level gravel parking spots. Water, power, and sewer were all perfect. The park restroom was one of the nicest I have ever seen. Nice tile, toilet and vanity!
But the best part was the kind attention of the owners. They were helpful at every turn. They helped us develop our itinerary of visits to Cochise Stronghold, Chirichaua National Monument, and even dining in Wilcox. If you want to explore this part of Arizona you would be hard pressed to find a nicer home base.
We stayed at this campground for ten days to explore the area. We understand that the property was taken over by Cindy and Gregg about two years ago and they have done a fantastic job at bringing this property to a great state. All sites are large and gravel and most are pull thru. We had a back-in across from the office and it was large and quiet. Also, even before we arrived Cindy called to check in with us to find out what our ETA would be and when we arrived both Cindy and Gregg met us and ask if we needed anything and showed us our site. The whole time we were there the level of service was great. Highly recommend staying at this property. We camped at Goldminers RV park in a Motorhome.
Tip for Other Campers: We were in town to explore the area. Chiricahua National Monument, Pearce Farmers Market, Under His Wings 333(coffee, pizza and ice cream), Sandy's (breakfast, lunch and amazing deserts), Wilcox (old movie theater and Christmas parade)...you can also enjoy the city of Tombstone and Bisbee for a day. So much within reach...
We spent a couple of nights at Goldminers before Christmas 2023. The owners were super nice as others have mentioned and they have done a ton of work to improve the park.
Our site was large, level and quiet! The laundry room was new and larger than many other parks. We didn’t use the bathroom/shower but they are new as well.
They do have propane now and I was happy to top off my tank at a great price.
The park is close to Chiricahua National Monument and Fort Bowie National Historic Site - Pearce ghost town is a few miles away and Tombstone is close too! We really liked it and definitely recommend and will stay there if we are back in the area.
The resort was very well maintained. The owners were very thoughtful and helpful regarding where to go, dine, sightsee, etc. The spaces are very generous. I would definitely stop by again. It's pretty centrally located for seeing Cochise Stronghold, Chiricahua National Monument and Willcox.
New owners Gregg and Cindy are friendly and welcoming; they are doing a great job of upgrading the place with new fixtures and bathrooms. The place is clean and well cared for. They also sell propane.
